    Exceptional

We stayed at hotel for one night to just relax and unwind , and that is exactly what we did, the grounds are lovely and the swimming pool, and steam room was just what i needed, we are thinking of booking our wedding there it was so beautiful.

not keen on the dinner menu, breakfast ok, great leisure facilities

The staff responded very competently and with good humour to a last-minute addition of ten guests to an eighteen-guest dinner without letting other guests suffer

    Fabulous

Stayed there for 3 nughts on business, food in the restaurant was good and the hotel staff were excellent. Spa facilities looked good but did not get the time to use them.

    Fabulous

The surroundings & quiet location as well as the character of the building & quality of service.

    Very good

The location, swimming pool and late opening bar

Inflexible staff, badly cooked breakfast and petty charge for hire of swimming pool towels. (A 60p charge was clearly devised by a bean- counting accountant. Why not put up the room prices by £1.00?). Why were my husband and I put in a tiny room, when our adult daughter was put into a huge room?

The room was very comfortable and it was very spacious, the grounds were beautiful to walk in

I was very sad that the jacuzzi was not working, and i was quite disappointed about the evening meal, i did not feel that it was value for money, although the chef did make me something else to eat as i did not like anything on the menu, but it was under cooked

    Fabulous

The staff members were helpful and cheerful, and we enjoyed the beautiful setting. We were well cared-for as on previous stays, and the leisure facilities were much appreciated.

The signage to rooms and in corridors was not always clear - we suggest that painting the corridor doors a different colour from bedroom doors might be a help, and/or distinct colour carpeting. This could also assist with fire escape routing. Also, could you update the internet accessibility information in the room brochures, and provide use of a secure connection for guests if needed. Thank you.

    Fabulous

liesure facilities were very good. very covenient location for ironbridge tourist destinations with a 10 minute drive to telford. Plenty of places to eat in shifnal which is a steady 10 mins walk away. breakfast fine. very pleasant stay.

we stayed in the annexe of the hotel and it was a bit noisy sometimes as the walls seemed a bit thin. due to business customers staying it might be hard to have a lie in as they were up and about early this was not too much of a problem for us as we usually get up quite early too. it may be for others?

Quiet, interesting old building. Good location for Telford and area.

No lifts. Too many doors. Rooms and breakfast area need a bit of tlc. Room ceiling made up of ceiling tiles normally found in offices.

    Very good

The hotel is a beautiful historic house with lovely grounds and a well equipped fittness suite and pool. Downstairs the hotel has beautiful wood panels and the decor in the bar and lounge is very sophisticated. The double room we stayed in was very clean. I think the hotel was good value for money.

The decor in the room was a little dated. We found the room a little too warm even with the window wide open ( it was 28 degrees c in October!). We were disappointed with breakfast. It was served by the staff but they seemed rather disorganised. We waited about 20 minutes for it to arrive and when it arrived I was told they had run out of hash browns and replaced them with fried potatoes. I would have thought that a hotel that serves breakfast every day would not run out of some of the breakfast items.
